Jaws of Life

Jaws of life are rescue tools that include Spreader, Ram, and Cutter.
Hydraulic spreaders are primarily used for compressed car frames and other damaged and collapsing structures. Like a pair of reversed scissors, spreaders start in a closed position and apply outward force, moving apart steel and fiberglass frames with ease, giving victims the space to be removed from a hazard.

Spreader

The powerful jaws of these machines can tear apart most vehicles like cutting through a tin can. The spreader is used to pull pieces of the structure apart, or it can be inserted into the side of the vehicle to tear a section out.

IT USES IT TO EXPAND THE COLLAPSING PART LOCALLY OR TO BREAK IT OPEN.

Working

Survivors and families affected by road traffic crashes have a range of physical, psychological, and legal needs. An effective post-crash response integrates injury care, mental health services, legal support, and legislation with a systematic collection of data on crashes and injuries. The goal of Pillar 5 is to reduce the impact of road traffic crashes, to ensure appropriate legal process, and to facilitate recovery of those affected.

Methodology of Service

Emergency Works in Traffic Accident

•Ambulance /paramedic is responsible for medical examination and triage.

•The main goal is that all rescue personnel coordinate their work, communication, cooperate and understand each others roles on-scene.

•The aim of the study was to investigate to which extent the method is implemented in Punjab and to investigate how trained teams consider the feasibility of RE.

•Transfer of the injured, either from the scene of an injury to a facility, or between facilities, has two distinct components: transport, and care during transport.

Emergency care for injury is at the core of the post-crash response.

Problem

As we are aware of the fact that many valuable life's are lost on the road because of inadequate tools/equipment available on the ground for rescuing victims from the mangled remain of the crash vehicles

Combination Spreader

While a cutter or spreader tool is designed for a particular application, a combination tool, or combination tool as popularly referred to by the fire department, is also available, which combines the cutting and spreading functions of separate tools into a single tool. In operation, the tips of the spreader-cutter's blades are wedged into a seam or gap—for example, around a vehicle door and the device engaged. The hydraulic pump, attached to the tool or as a separate unit, powers a piston that pushes the blades apart with great force and spreads the seam. Once the seam has been spread, the now-open blades can be repositioned around the metal. The device is engaged in reverse and the blades close, cutting through metal. Repeating this process allows a rescuer to quickly open a gap wide enough to pull free a trapped victim. The blades can spread or cut with a force of several tons or kilo-newtons with the tips of the blades spreading up to a meter.

Blusave The Solution

•To solve the above problem we are making Jaws of lives rescue tools used by emergency rescue personnel and include devices like cutters, spreaders, and rams.

•The Jaws of Life has four main types of hydraulic rescue tools: spreaders, cutters, rams, and combination tools. Each serves a vital function in the extrication process.

•These are basically hydraulic tools that use a power source usually a separate power petrol or gasoline engine and rechargeable battery.
